First Friday's Letters

Another week has flown by! I worked my little tush off this week.
I have also enjoyed spending some time at home, doing a little painting(post to come), keeping up with my workouts, and loving on my Pups.

Dear Mother Nature-- I cannot THANK YOU enough for blowing thru last night and bringing us a monsoon to wash away the 8000+ count pollen away. My eyeballs, nose, and throat also thank you tremendously. Dear Jamie Eason-- that leg workout last night was off the chain. Holy crap I'm going to need a handicap rail to lower myself down on the toilet today.  I may be STOVE-UP by the time I leave work tonight. Dear Coach-- thank you for being at the gym last night to push me thru those last set of killer squats. You da man. Dear Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, and Jake Owen-- Can't wait to see you on that stage tomorrow night between the hedges!! Dear Amy Butler-- Could you have put a little more pictures in your direction book so I would know what you are actually talking about when making my Cosmo Bag?? Dear Fabulous Followers-- Thank you so much for hanging around here and for your lovely comments! I know I am not here everyday but you give me confidence to keep this fairly new found love of blogging going! Any longtime bloggers have any suggestions for me?

Hope everyone has a Happy Friday!

Legs Like Jell-O

A few days ago, my friend Nikki and I decided we were going to go on a hike at Stone Mountain.

So we met up for our adventure yesterday and
Holy Hike up the hill.

The last time I remember going to Stone Mountain was, well, I really can't remember when it was but I do know I went to see the Laser Show. I can BARELY remember it.

In all the years of me living I have never been on a hike.
Is that weird? It seems like it's the thing to do these days. Being on trails and all. Hiking.. bicycling.. I even saw some folks jogging up the mountain. JOGGING.
This chick could hardly walk up the mountain and I have been working my legs out like a mad woman with the Jaime Eason program.

And it may have been somewhat easier for me if I actually watched the news to see that the pollen count was going to be over 2000!!

As soon as I got out of the car the pollen began to attack. I could feel the pollen taking over my contacts like daggers were being stabbed into my eyes. It took me at least 15 mins before we even got to the trail to try and clean my contacts just so we could actually get started!
Poor Nikki!

Now that that's over with HERE WE GOOOO!!!

I don't know if you can tell in this picture but I was trying to capture how yellow everything was. When you looked off into the distance you could just see a huge yellow cloud lingering over the trees.

Maybe a little over halfway?

If you look closely at the top picture you can see the rails in the distance.
I will not be ashamed to say I took a breather after this climb.

Almost to the top.. just a little further!!!

MADE IT!!

AAAHHH! Photo fun!.. Livin' on the Edge.

There was an awesome breeze blowing. It would have been even better if it wasn't stirring up the pollen.

Gorgeous views!

We took the cable car back down the mountain, which let me just tell you I was NOT very fond of, but it beat trying not to suffocate in all the pollen all the back down the mountain.

On the way back to car, we checked out these old plantation buildings.
Nikki pointed out that how your taste in photos changes as you get older. When we were younger we probably wouldn't have thought twice about taking pictures of 'old buildings'.
It's really sad but you just don't see places like this very often anymore.

This caught my eye in the plantation store..
The different dress styles in each century.

And of course the different shoes.

On the way back to the car..
The figures of Stonewall Jackson, Robert E. Lee, and Jefferson Davis.

NO WONDER I COULDN'T SEE!
My eyes are officially sandpaper.
I'll be sportin' the ol' glasses til all this blows over!

Hope you aren't as worn out as I am!

It wasn't so bad..

turning the

BIG

I got tons of texts, phone calls, facebook messages, and more making me feel super special on the big birthday!!

These pretty flowers were waiting on me at the salon with a sweet card from Mama Arlene.
Remember, she married Coach and I and even took us through marriage counseling.
Made me feel sooo special!

I also had another card from Whitney, she is a super awesome stylist who is SUPER sweet, with a Starbucks card and Dove chocolates. Love some coffee and chocolate!

Later on Thursday, there was a special delivery from my Mom with these pretty spring flowers, a very sweet card, and a chocolate cake.. THE BEST EVER.. that got completely demolished that day!
I would say it probably wasn't that good.
Ha.

When I got home this gorgeous arrangement was waiting on me from my HUSBAND!!

I still haven't gotten used to seeing 'wife' but I love it!
A precious card along with my FAVE chocolates.

This flower arrangement is by far the most beautiful one I have received yet from the florist Coach uses.
More blooms have opened, there are still a couple left to open, and it gets more beautiful everyday.
Now only if my photography skills could get a little better to show you just how gorgeous they are!

Later on that night, we headed to Athens for my favorite dinner of all time, SUSHI.

So yummy! I seriously think I could have it a few times a week.

HONEY COULD WE HAVE SUSHI TONIGHT FOR DINNER????

Then we had this delicious bad boy... Fried ice cream. I think I died and went to Heaven for a second.

I know I'm holding up the 3-0, but I think I may just consider myself for being 29-ish at the moment.
Just for a little fun!
