On Friday, October 27th, I took off work early and we were able to go to Washington Farms! The last weekend before it closed. Whew! Always cutting it close because Shane just gets done with his fall baseball season.
Love these traditions with our girls!
We had a little deja vu, with them both falling asleep before we got there. (Last year it was just Finley and she did the same thing) We did just what we did last year... stopped at the country store just before Washington Farms -- I think it's called Striplings General Store -- I sat in the car with the girls and Shane ran in and got us a BBQ sandwich and chips. One of THE best BBQ sandwiches I've ever had and that's saying a lot because I do NOT eat a lot of BBQ. They napped and right before we left Finley woke up. We made our way to the farms, got loaded up in the stroller and carrier and inside we went.
It had been hot but that night it was going to get CHILLY. And it did.
Funny how many shots it takes these days to get a picture with everyone looking and smiling!
After we got our picture made, Finley spotted the balls and that was exactly where she drug her Daddy off to. She loves any kind of ball and I'm pretty sure she could've bounced here all night.
Love watching her have so much fun.
We got finished there and made our way a little further and she spotted the "jumpy place".
Her face lit up and all she wanted to do was jump but unfortunately one punk kid had to ruin it for her. She would try and jump and bless her this kid -- that was too big to be on this one with the little kids -- would come close to her and bounce her to high knocking her legs out from under her and make her so upset. All the while, his parents just watching him not saying a word. I just about lost it on this kid. We would move away from him to an empty spot and here he would come. Ugh!
She was so excited to jump and couldn't even do it. So we left there and as we were, it was announced that the last pig race was about to start!
Boy was that fun! Those little piggies were so funny and Finley loved watching them.
Off to see the animals!
She loved this baby chicken! I so wish we could get more animals here but Goodness that would just be one more or SEVERAL jobs added to the list.
We didn't even tell her to do this! She gave the little chick kisses. Ha!
I can only imagine the germs on that little guy. But it made her happy.
On the cow train! I didn't think she was going to do this when we got up to it but she climbed in and we rode and she ended up loving it!
I think she was looking at the Donkey's or cows here. Either way, there is almost the exact same facial expression from last year. The sweetest!
This is one thing we didn't do last year and she loved it. We stayed here for quite some time.
Ha! This facial expression!
This moment was so fun! Sissy was really cutting up and laughing during this time! We were getting such a kick out of her carrying on and chuckling for one of the first times!
Daddy was loving it too!
And that HUGE smile!
It was starting to get cooler and Finley hadn't napped so we called it a night and headed home. I wanted a picture in the big rocking chair with both of them but Finley just wasn't having it. So I got in with just Sissy while Fin Fin screamed her head off. Maybe next year!
Another year in the books! Looking forward to many more with these precious angels!
