You will be missed...

So yesterday was a really hard day.
I remember waking up and seeing Trio, Chester, and Snuggles at the fence eating just like a normal day.. I went to work and just after lunch, I checked my phone and had several calls/texts from my MIL and SIL letting me know that the vet was being called because there was something wrong with Trio.
I honestly thought he was colicing and it never crossed my mind that it was worse than that...

If you are new here, a couple months before our wedding, we realized someone cut our fence and had given us Trio. He was severely malnourished and in pretty bad shape, but the vet told us all he needed was to gain his weight back and a little TLC.
There was one thing tho, the vet said he had cancer in his sheath area, but he had seen horses that lasted years and others who went fast. As long as Trio was showing good quality of life there was no problem.

Apparently, the cancer had spread, and hit Trio really hard and fast yesterday. I know I'm not getting all the details, but I know it was bad and it was best to put him down. The vet said that he wouldn't have made it thru the night.

Coach came and picked me up at work and I was able to spend a couple of hours with Trio yesterday evening. While I was with him, we had one of the prettiest sunsets.. its like it was just for him the way he was facing the pasture as he would when they would all be at the gate.

It wasn't right whoever let Trio get as bad as he did and cut our fence, but we were all blessed to have such a sweet, loving, well mannered beauty on the Hopper Farm! I'm so thankful he was able to spend his last years with us fat and happy and well taken care of.

As Connie said, our family did pull together and all help Trio and I'm so appreciative of that.. I will be real in saying that I do have feelings of guilt of not spending a lot of time with him these past few months. I also wish I would've stepped away from the yard sale Saturday and been with him at my SIL's while he got his pedicure.
It happened the way it happened and this is just something I'm going to have to work through.

I'll say again how much I'll miss you Trio and miss seeing your graceful runs in the pasture! He was even more beautiful when he ran.. oh my goodness he ran with such grace!
You were the absolute best!

BUMPDATE // 30 Weeks

HOW FAR ALONG // 30 Weeks

30 weeks belly pic chalkboard pregnancy

BABY SIZE // about the size of a cabbage

Baby Hopper is roughly 15.7 inches long now and weighs almost 3 lbs.
Her eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen. Even after birth, she will keep those little peepers closed for a good part of the day. She will respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision and only make out objects a few inches from her face.

MY SYMPTOMS // Legs are really starting to hurt when I don't wear my compression tights. I can tell a HUGE difference when I don't wear them. I think its the veins that hurt so bad. I am starting to feel more pressure on my tailbone.. my body feels really sore when I first wake up in the mornings but will ease up as I start moving.. if I talk a lot to my clients I find it's hard for me to catch my breath at times.. sometimes I have these bursts of energy and other times I could face plant in the floor.. I've been stuffy lately but I'm not sure if its from the pollen or if its due to being pregnant. (I've read about your nasal blood vessels and how it changes)
I forgot to mention last week that on the way to the doctor I almost threw up and Friday I was just beginning a client and it hit me again. I think its so weird since I only had some night time nausea in the first trimester.

MATERNITY CLOTHES // Compression tights, belly bands at times depending on what I'm wearing, maxi skirts and maxi dresses, maternity jeans and shorts, and I can still wear a couple of my stretchy pants with belly bands, and maternity tops.

SLEEP // I can't really complain in the sleep department.. I just wake up and my body feels so sore that I don't feel like I have rested enough.

MOVEMENT // There are down times but I am definitely feeling her move and I know I've already said it but I love it. Friday night, around midnight, I was laying on my left side and I know whatever she was moving had to have been punching the mattress. This is the strongest I have ever felt her. Coach is getting to where he can see her move now just looking at my belly.

CRAVINGS // As soon as I knew we were going to get paint yesterday I could NOT get Menchie's off the brain. Me and Connie left Home Depot and made our way to get our sweet tooth on!

GENDER // It's a girl!

WHAT I MISS // Energy.

WORK OUTS // Saturday I walked back and forth so many times from the yard sale back to the house I'm counting that as my walking!

EMOTIONS // I was so excited about Thursday, I think I only slept about four or five hours AND I got ready TWO hours before I was suposed to leave for work. That NEVER happens.
Friday, I got a little emotional thinking of everything left that needs to get done, but I feel much better now knowing there is a little paint on the walls.
And, I'm pretty sure it was one day this week.. I cried on the way to work and had nothing to cry about. Stupid hormones. I was all dried up tho by the time I got to work and was totally fine!

DREAMS // I wake up and know I have dreamt but they have continued to seriously be all over the place and I'm not remembering them either.

HUBBY'S THOUGHTS // He even mentioned one day this week about what needs to get done before Baby Hopper makes her appearance. I think he forgets tho because he now its baseball, baseball, baseball!!

3 AMIGAS THOUGHTS //

I think everyone is trying to get in all the sleep while they still can! These pups seriously crack me up.

BEST PREGNANCY MOMENT THIS WEEK //

Hearing Baby Hopper's heartbeat..

Seeing her gorgeous, sweet face at our 3D appt Thursday..

The tech said Baby Hopper is 3 lbs 1 oz, she is in the 22nd percentile, and should be a smaller baby at the 7/low 8 lb mark. Works for me! The Lord knows I cannot birth a 10lb baby. Ha!
I also asked her about her hair and she showed us where she has some already! In the 2D, she showed us where hair is already floating in the fluids and she said if she had that much already showing she would probably have a head full at birth. So cool!

Having pretty much cleaned out the whole nursery, purchasing paint, and having put a little on the walls to see what it looks like. Painting will hopefully resume tomorrow afternoon!

Aunt Tracie bought some outfits today! Sooo cute!

March Goals UPDATE

This update post has been on the back of my mind for some time now..
Better late than never right??

// HEALTH
These are just going to be a given from here on out.

*Make a conscious effort to eat healthy, good foods and drink more water.
These days nothing sounds good so this is becoming a challenge. I cleaned it up at the grocery store yesterday, so my cereals I was craving and such aren't even in the house.
*Continue with the weights.
It felt great hitting the gym and not the living room this past week!
I am marking these off halfway except for the water because it has been hit or miss whether or not I've eaten truly healthy. Just being honest. I can't tell you how many times I've had a PB & J, I've had a couple of Wendy's Spicy Chicken Sandwiches, and Cherry Cokes. Just keepin' it real.
There have been a couple of times that I have picked up the weights for arms and a few times of making laps around the yard with lunges and body squats.

2// FOR ME AND SHANE

*Life insurance
This one gets a halfway mark off too.. we have had our initial appointment where we discussed policies and we have an appointment scheduled tomorrow to fill out our applications.

3// PREGNANCY & BABY HOP
*Continue reading.
I'm getting better!
I have been keeping up with What to Expect, reading my pregnancy app, I finished The Girlfriend's Guide, I am reviewing The Circle Maker, and I had gotten back into The Happiest Baby on the Block and somehow it has mysteriously disappeared! I had it when we went for my glucose testing, Coach had it when we left, and I haven't been able to find it since. If I don't find it, I guess I will be purchasing another one because it's been recommended to me by several people and it was on loan to me.

*Continue working in future nursery every spare chance I get.
This has definitely been an ongoing process but GREAT NEWS!! Bedroom furniture was moved out yesterday and paint was bought for getting the walls done! Whoo hoo!

*Make a consult appointment with a Pediatrician.
This one is already done and we are set for this Wednesday for a meeting. This Dr. comes highly recommended and I am so glad he was still taking new patients! Thank you to my sweet friends who have given me advice on finding a Ped NOW. I had no idea they came to the hospital when the baby was born and if you didn't have one, you would just get whoever.
Done!

*Look up nursery/furniture/bedding ideas.
I've been looking here and there when I have had a few minutes to glance but haven't really found anything that catches my eye. Not even anything enough to share with Shane. Hopefully I will find something soon and we will both like it for our little girl!
Annddd we have fabric picked out for the bedding! Amber and I were talking one day and she suggested that we do it ourselves. So she came over one Monday, we looked at her fabric sites, and I found the bedding I want. It wasn't anything like I originally thought I was looking for but yellow and grey is very limited. I just fell in LOVE with what I picked out. Now we are waiting on samples that Amber didn't already have, decide where I want which fabrics, and then she will order accordingly and then we'll have some sew parties!! I am so excited about it!

*Purchase a crying baby doll for the Amigas.
Kyli especially is going to need this. I am curious to see how these pups act.
Who knew it would be so hard to find a crying baby doll? I have looked in a couple places and there is nothing. Call me crazy, but I've been saying her name to them HA! They DO look at me like I'm crazy but anything that may help right?

4// HOME

*Purge, purge, purge!
I already did our master bathroom. I also started going through clothes I haven't worn in awhile and have a yard sale pile going. Before our wedding, I just woke up one Saturday and threw everything in the front yard and actually made some good money! I do see that happening in the future when its a pretty Saturday.
On the list:: kitchen and guest bathroom.
I haven't gotten to the kitchen yet but I did the guest bathroom a while ago. As I have cleaned out the guest bedroom and other areas, I made a HUGE yard sale pile and yesterday morning I woke up and threw all of it in the front yard. My MIL and SIL came over and we had several people stop for not having advertised anything. I was going to take everything to Goodwill right when it was over but my SIL is going to have another in a few weeks and after that EVERYTHING WILL GO. Until then, I'm going to see what else I can get rid of....

*Mod Podge another canvas.
When I printed off one of our pictures for my Grandmother's canvas, Walmart printed an extra and I would love to get it up. It's one of Shane's favorite pictures!
Didn't get to this...

5// JUST FOR FUN
I don't even know why this is even a category on my list right now. There are more important things to be done.. DUH. Just thought if I needed a no-thinker thing to do for a little bit this would be good.

*Amy Butler bag is still on!
.. Or this one but I feel good about it being on my 101 in 1001 list!

*********

While we are on the subject...

OTHER GOALS MET:
since March in no particular order

Got our carpets shampooed
got the Rhogam shot
started registry (only items left: stroller/carseat, pack n play, rocker/glider, wrap carrier, monitors)
Had a yard sale
Applied for Anastasia Beverly Hills makeup PRO membership
Found a newborn & 1 year photographer for Baby Hopper
started Baby Hopper's baby book
maternity pics are scheduled
restocked certain makeup items for upcoming wedding

I plan on keeping the ball rolling!
And reviewing and updating this list has made me realize I've gotten more done than I realized. And who am I kidding... I felt like I had been cutting back my hours but it's hard to say no to my clients. I've just felt like I've needed to work while I can. I will say that I have enjoyed having these couple of Saturday's off and getting even more stuff done.
I REALLY feel much better having purchased the paint and seeing a little section of it on the walls.
