That Time We Held a Wedding on Our Farm

Shane and I have made a little talk about turning our wedding site into a wedding venue. And we didn't have to wait too long for that to happen! One of our friends contacted us before Shane started traveling for summer ball about their wedding in July. Their other plans had changed, they moved the wedding date up from October, and was interested in having it where we got married at the pond.
They were pleased with everything, did a little work in their spare time to get the site ready, and then there was a wedding!

It was absolutely gorgeous! It did rain a little but that did not put a damper on this sweet couple, Dylan and Marlana.
I was even asked to do hair for them but I had already booked a wedding that day in my hometown for another bride. I got back home just in time to see them taking a few pictures in the front yard, me and Shane got wedding ready, and made it just in time before the ceremony started. It was beautiful! Here are a few shots from the photographers facebook page.

1st Family Vaca // Finley's 1st Family Trip // Day 6

What a gorgeous last day we had! It couldn't have been better.
We got up early and Shane went fishing again. After breakfast, Fin and I joined him. This couple who was on the beach next to us gave Finley this swimming pool when they left. They had a little girl who turned one, and was there celebrating her first birthday. She enjoyed it so much our last day! I would actually recommend it to anyone and wish we would've done it sooner.

It was a GORGEOUS day and I'm so thankful for the wonderful weather we had. Stacey told us that it rained the week before ALL week. There was only one afternoon shower that brought us off the beach.

We stayed for a couple of hours on the beach and Finley just didn't seem satisfied. So I made my way back up to the room and she actually fell asleep in my arms on the way back. I couldn't believe it! It was so sweet tho and she just laid right down in her pack-n-play.
While Fin napped, me and Shane used that time to start packing as much as we could to get ready to leave that night. We got a good bit done!

After she woke from her nap and we had a good lunch, we made our way back to the beach one last time. It was the absolute best time! It was almost like Finley knew it was our last day and she was just going to make the best of it. We played and played and played in the sand, walked the shoreline, played in the ocean, and then would do it all over again.

Finley was sitting with Shane and he said all of a sudden she took off across the sand after me!

Daddy playing "the claw"!

Love this picture!

Shane found this floating up on the shore.

After our time was over with at the beach, we made our way to the pool to shower off and take a quick dip. It was wonderful!

Packing up to go home!

This was our short walk to the beach..

And after all was packed in the car, Finley fell asleep before we even pulled out of the driveway. We left around 9 and she slept good for several hours. I even tried waking her and couldn't but she eventually woke up on her own. She did so good except for about the last hour and a half.

On the ride home along the bridge.

Our first family trip was absolutely wonderful and such a blessing! I loved being in my happy place with my sweet family and I can't wait to do it again. We all enjoyed each other so much and Finley has brought so much joy to our lives!
