Lately

Wow I feel like I have been going nonstop!
Friday wasn't too busy at work.. which has been a nice break since I have worked the past 3 weekends in a row. I am off this Saturday and I am NOT going to know what to do with myself. Super excited about that. Maybe Coach will be around that morning for a nice breakfast together. Baseball is gearing up!
Speaking of Friday, I saw my little buddy on the way to work. I haven't seen him in awhile. I wish that we could have a couple of these at the pond. I'm not really sure how well the 3 Amigos would do having the guys around.

I also did my last prom updo for the year. I thought it turned out beautifully if I do say so myself. She is one pretty lady!

I finished up another one of these pretty's and it was picked up Saturday at work.. I just love them!

After work, I went and met my MIL at the Braselton Festival. It. Was. Hot. I really need to get a spray tan or learn to embrace my Casper legs. I would seriously blind some folks too. This was the biggest we have ever seen the festival. So many cute things! I could have bought out a couple of booths, no joke.

Here are a few of my favorite things I saw. I am kicking myself now for not getting these spools. Bracelet stand anyone? These baseball signs were pretty awesome just a little too expensive for me. And, I LOVED this shabby chic piece. If it didn't sell it's in an antique store in Braselton. Connie, I think we need to go check it out!!

How awesome is this piece of furniture? I could totally see this in the Hopper house!

And my $10 festival find.

They were marked for $18 and my MIL worked her bargaining magic. I also found some OLD baseball articles that would look really awesome in Coach's office.. when he has a bigger one one day.. They would look really good mod podged on wood and then scuffed up for an antique look.

After I stayed as long as I could, I headed over to my cousin in laws for prom pictures. They officially hired me early in the week! My first photo session. Ha.
It was super fun and Emily looked gorgeous!
The other night I downloaded a free trial for photoshop and played around with a few pictures.

Isn't her dress beautiful??

Can't wait to sit down and work on more. Definitely has been a learning process but I think this shot turned out pretty nice for me not knowing what the heck I'm doing.

Sunday, I hosted a Mary Kay party for my Aunt. I have no pictures from this fun afternoon but it was wonderful!

Yesterday, I came into work and my T25 had arrived! Whoop whoop!
Holy smokes that 25 minutes is intense! A lot of the moves are pulled from Insanity, so I feel like doing that the past month really helped me keep up.. you just don't. ever. stop. Can't wait to get into it more and see how the rest is..
NO EXCUSES! 25 minutes and you are done!

And I leave you with a gorgeous sunset picture with Trio. I took this last Monday when I went to help feed. My SIL's house is up on a hill and it's the perfect VIP spot to capture sunsets.

Two Year Blogiversary

Today marks two years for Baseball-Diamonds & Hairspray and what a wonderful two years it has been! If you are new to following along, this little corner of the internet all got started from a little encouragement from my friend Danielle. If you have a few minutes you should definitely check out Butler, Party of 3. Jase is THE cutest baby ever!
I am so glad that Danielle and I reconnected via Facebook and so glad that she gave me the encouragement and help I needed to start this little blog. Thankful for her patience too in all my questions I had for her! Once I got started on Blogger tho, it got easier and easier. Thank you so much Danielle!

In the past, I have loved scrapbooking, but if any of you have done that before, you know just how time consuming it can be. While I have been able to somewhat quickly post and document milestones in my life, I must admit I have missed scrapbooking a tad bit. I actually just bought a couple of books and am working on getting mine and Coach's engagement/wedding items together to start working on one. It will make a nice living room piece for our family and friends to look at when they are visiting.
I started this blog shortly after Coach and I got engaged, and it was wonderful to post all about our engagement year, and our first year of being hitched, for our family and friends to stay updated. As I have been working on my blog lately, it has been awesome to look back on those sweet moments.. almost seems like I am reliving it and I love it.

I would like my little space to continue to grow and flourish. At times I have gotten a little bummed that it hasn't grown as much as others have in a two year period.. BUT, I have learned that for me blogging seems like it's a full time job! And I am still learning this blogging world too! Just ask MeganSometimes there are just not enough hours in the day for me to upload my pictures and type out my thoughts. Sometimes I even feel pressure like "I have to post! I haven't posted in a few days and I have to talk about something!" Well, some days there is nothing exciting going on in my life or I just have nothing to 'talk about' or 'say'! A few days ago, I was reading Lauren's post from Peach State of Mind.. what a great question to ask myself! I needed to be reminded that I am doing this for ME and I must add my family to that, too. They enjoy this little corner so much following mine and Coach's newlywed journey. I don't want to post just to be posting. There have also been times when I have gotten down on myself and my ability to write.. sometimes my words just don't flow as I would like them to and it's very frustrating for me. But then my sweet readers come along and y'all leave me sweet comments and I feel good all over again!

I have to admit God has blessed me in the Arts and Crafts department. Not trying to toot my own horn or brag at all. I LOVE being able to paint on a canvas, first and foremost, and I am pretty good with DIY'ers, and it's so much more fun for me to make someone a gift rather than go buy them something. I was even able to make the flower girl baskets for our wedding from a little inspiration from googling. With all that being said, I also hope to document more of those types of things to inspire you like others have inspired me!

I never in a million years thought I would have a blog and connect with such sweet people! I am so FLATTERED that y'all come to visit me here, checking out what I have to say, seeing what the latest is in my life, for taking the time to say hello and leave me a comment letting me know you were here. Y'all make this girl feel good and I appreciate all of your kindness and love you show me!!

In celebration of this blogiversary, here are a few many of my favorite posts!

In random order:

I could keep going and going!
Of course I love everything of our wedding, honeymoon, and one year anniversary trip. You can see all of those posts under Our Love Story.

Thank you again to all of my sweet followers for all of your love, support, kindness, and sweet comments. I hope this blog continues to uplift and inspire you!

Succulents & Cactus

I had said after Mara eating my favorite succulent and cactus last year, and having a not-so-green thumb that I was NOT going to spend any money on any type of plants this year. Well, Monday it was so pretty that I couldn't resist. And Coach sort of talked me into it.
So off to Home Depot I go! It really didn't take me as long as I thought because they seemed to be limited on what was left. I made my way back to the farm and started on all the fun!

I found this in the monkey grass when I first joined Coach at the house.. I had leftover yellow paint and gave this ancient pot a facelift. Coach and I love all the character of it!

I found another pot in the milk barn.. it got a facelift too as you can see.. and I added a touch of Chalk Board paint.
All pretty in their new homes!

Love any kind of bling and sparkle! I remembered I had these and added just a few to a couple of the pots.

After the chalkboard paint dried, I added an "H" for the finishing touch.

Love the pink! My Mom would love it too.. It's her favorite color.

Have you planted any flowers for spring or purchased any succulents/cactus for your home?

Easter 2014

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! What a beautiful day it was to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord!! I felt so BLESSED yesterday as our families were able to come together at our home for lunch. It was absolutely wonderful to have our families together under one roof for fellowship. The food was phenomenal and we probably could have fed an army with all that we had! Don't worry tho because what didn't get eaten yesterday was divided up amongst everyone for leftovers. We don't waste any wonderful food around here!
After lunch, Mimi and I hid eggs for a fun egg hunt on the farm... 53 eggs to be exact, with two of those being golden eggs, filled with a 5 and 10 dollah bill. So much fun watching Gigi and Knox take off running with Mara trailing right behind them on a mission to find those eggs!
After the egg hunt, the Hoppers had a mini photo session with Grandma on the front porch. She sure was decked out!
As always, here is my picture overload, in order they were taken in..

These were delish! Mama Jane gave me the cook book these were in for my birthday. Low in sugar, fat, and calories.

Kyli didn't know what to think of all the food in the house. She wasn't going too far away from the kitchen.

Dessert Bar.

Ty, Gigi, me, Knox, and Kolton

"Wait.. get my good side."

Grandma's here!
My father-in-law requested Reese Cup Cupcakes.. he got 'em.

I love this of Mara and Grandma. I didn't see but at one point she had tried to jump in her lap. Bless her heart.. she scared her pretty bad.

Pop is always being goofy.

My new 'patio' table ended up being the kid table. And as you see Kyli isn't far behind.

All of the boys like to wrestle. Boys will be boys.

AND THEY'RE OFF!!

Mara is sooo funny! I really wish y'all could see her in person!

Knox found the $10 golden egg!

So funny!

Hahaha I LOVE this! My little Sylvester Stallone look-a-like..

Mara was trying to find some too.

Egg hunt finished.

My sweet Ty-Ty.

Coach, his mom Connie, sister Tracie, Grandma, and dad Ricky.

Please remove your glasses for pictures.

And he's had enough.. give them back. Ha.

I can't express what a wonderful time we had! Even the 3 Amigos were great with everyone in the house.

And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you to Galilee; there shall ye see him; lo, I have told you.
Matthew 28: 5-7
