A New Kind of Morning // Fort Yargo

La La got us out of the house early yesterday morning. Super early for us that is.
Me and the girls were out of the house by 8AM! I don't think any of us have been up that early in quite some time to go anywhere ... maybe except for Fallyn to take her bottle and then right back to bed .. and me following suit especially if Fin is still asleep. I'm sure anyone with young kids is their normal to be up super early but for us it's just not. Shane and I are both night owls and I see our girls becoming night owls as well.. well, maybe not Fallyn yet but definitely Finley.

With several different factors, and one of them being Shane getting home late or not being at home to see Fin for a several days due to work, Finley's bed time has been anywhere from 9:30 - 11ish. Yes you read that right.. 11ish. I know.. we are crazy right?! With that comes her sleeping late in the morning and with Fallyn's schedule that means that Mom can go back to sleep ... and then we are all waking up at the same time around 10ish ...

LET THE CHAOS BEGIN!!

We are ALL starving ... Finley's diaper and clothes are soaked ... Fallyn is screaming because she wants her milk ... I'm trying not to pee on myself because I hit the floor running and forgot to take a moment in the bathroom ... I'm trying to cook breakfast while trying to keep a toddler from having a major meltdown because she's hangry ... the 3 Amigas are staring me down to get fed and meanwhile I'm tripping over them because they won't let me out of their sight ... I mean I could probably keep going but I'll stop there with embarrassing myself.

IN. SAN.I.TY.

But yesterday..  yesterday was different. And it was wonderful.
Fallyn slept 7 hours! I felt like I got some deep, amazing sleep as well. I fed her, we both went back to bed for a few more minutes, I got up and showered, dressed, packed the car, got Fallyn in her seat, Shane got Fin up and in the car and we were on our way to meet La La at Fort Yargo in town for some "beach" girl time. Needless to say, it got Fin up out of bed early and going, by 12:30 she was ready for a nap (instead of 2:30) and even fell asleep (LITERALLY 30 seconds from home) with her sunglasses down by her mouth, a chicken nugget in one hand and a French fry in the other. Super sad I didn't get a picture of that but I had already unpacked the car and realized my phone was in the house. boo. No matter how much I talked to her she just couldn't keep those pretty eyes open.
Finally she got back to sleep, me and Fallyn slept, ALL AT THE SAME TIME WHHHAAA???, I finally  got Fin up at 3 and she was back in bed by 8:45PM.

YES!!! 8:45! Not 10, not 11, not 11:30 by the time she's laid down.
IT. WAS. AMAZING.
And one of the best parts?
Lil Bit fell asleep during bath time and slept all the way until we finished, got dressed, had a snack, read 3 books, and had some major snuggles and prayer time. Did Finley cry out for a little bit because she heard Sissy and I had to lay her down? Yes. But seriously not very long AT. ALL.

Please, please, please be the beginning of this new routine. And Bless her heart, after she slept until 8:30, I had to go in and wake her up this morning just to try and stay on track. She was sleeping HARD too. She gets that from her Daddy.
Sissy was still asleep, (and actually still is snoozing as a matter of fact), we had snuggle time, made muffins and she's in a WONDERFUL mood!

So thank you La la!
THANK YOU.
Thank you for getting us out of bed and getting our day started to something new. Thank you for getting me out of the house. Did I want to continue sleeping yesterday morning? Yeah. I did. But I knew it would be so much fun for everyone. And of course, it was LONG over due to see yo beautiful face.
You know we've talked about this new schedule thing and it is SO easy to sleep when you are so exhausted but I know this is the beginning of a great new schedule.

The struggle is real and I couldn't imagine how it would be with these sweet girls any closer together than what they are now. Yesterday was just absolutely great. I felt like I had one on one time with each of the girls and then there were times I had them both at the same time. And then, having her in bed so early, finally allowed me to get some things done and even do one or two things that I enjoy doing that I haven't been able to do in quite some time.

Like work on some blog posts.
I'm so determined to keep up with Fallyn's milestones just as I have with Finley (and lets face it, I'm super behind with hers already) but the struggle has been super real in doing so.
And, I know I'm not the best writer and my posts are super bland with me just writing down Lil Bit's weekly milestone posts so I want to say thank you to any readers who are still reading this blog.

 Is there anybody left?

I'd love to hear from you if there is!

I hope this is the beginning of me getting back into this more and more. I have to say, I have SO enjoyed looking back on Finley's milestones... its amazing what your brain forgets!! Now, I just need to get a little more detailed with Fallyn's and not be in such an exhausted rush to write her posts... And, the girls will have this to look back on when they get older.

So here is to new schedule's and a little less chaos!

Oh, and Fallyn rolled over TWICE yesterday... from her stomach to her back... 1 day before her big 3 months!!
My littlest is getting so big and grown so very fast.

Time. Slow. Down.

Fallyn // Week 10

HEALTH

You had your 2 month wellness check on July 10th.. It was supposed to be the 3rd but we were out of town camping with Mimi and Big Pop. You weighed 11 lbs and 4 oz (25-50%) You were 22 1/4 inches long (75%) and your HC was 15 1/2 (75%). Dr Setia said that your health was perfect! The only concern that I had, was that it was becoming more and more routine for you to start getting fussy around 4 or 5 pm and it would last until you went to bed around 10:30. He said it sounded like a mild case of colic and nothing needed to be done... just to wait it out a few more weeks, because most of the time it would be gone by 3 months. That is, until he asked me if you were sleeping on your back. And you don't. So he then said that you may have a little bit of reflux and he started you on Ranitidine. You get it once in the morning and once in the evening. You still have not started sleeping on your back, and in fact, you don't even like to sit at any kind of angle. Your favorite place to be is upright, and on anyones shoulder.

You were not having any part of being put down this particular day. So give me all the snuggles.

SLEEP

You definitely sleep well from 10:30pm to about 6AM and you go right back to sleep until about 9am.. some mornings while we were in the mountains you slept until 11:30! Like a boss. During the day tho there just doesn't seem to be a pattern in my opinion until you lay down for bedtime. And by 10:30, you are READY to be in a quiet place and laid down.

Mommy is going back to work 2 days a week ... we had our first salon meeting in the new building we are in and everyone enjoyed seeing you. Whii held you almost the whole time.

You enjoyed this seat that Gomer (Aunt Stephany) brought for you to use in the mountains.

Everybody naps in the mountains! It's so peaceful and I can't wait to get back.

You were really fussy this evening and Big Pop laid down the magic bouncy trick and quit crying almost immediately!

It warms my heart to see you smiling all the time! Have I mentioned how much I love those squishy double chin rolls?? Oh my goodness they are the best to smooch on.

EATING

You are mostly taking 4 oz at a time .. I think you are definitely a snacker too. Here and there you will take 2 or 3 oz at times when I don't think you should be very hungry, especially leading up to bedtime. You won't take more than 4 oz at a time but then a couple hours later, if that, you will want a couple more and continue to snack until you go to bed.

WHAT FALLYN IS UP TO

You took your first camping trip to Cherokee, NC with Mimi and Big Pop! You did SO GOOD!

Sissy still loves you so much!

You loved to golf cart rides just like Fin Fin did... I'm thinking we are probably going to have to get her one! Ha!

You had your first carasoul ride at Santa Land. You were passed out this whole time.

You woke up SOOO HAPPY this morning. I love it. I think this is the morning we came home. Some of the biggest grins I've seen from you.

One of your fave places to be! I hope you aren't too uncomfortable and you just love to snuggle and be held.

We need to get more bows in your hair! Or wear the headbands. I just love them but I don't think you do. Wink wink.
Love you angel.

Fallyn // Week 9

On June 27th, you turned 2 months young.

I captioned this picture on Instagram with this ::

Wasn't it just yesterday you were 1 month?? This sweet angel was #2months yesterday.  So thankful for your health but seriously time slow down. You are smiling more and even cooing and laughing. It's such a cute sound. When you really get cranked up your smile is huge! It's beautiful. You are sleeping longer at night, PTL, and have seemed to start putting yourself on a schedule and sleep best on our tummy. For the 5th night in a row, I've been able to lay you down and you fall asleep on your own... I'm loving seeing your personality starting show! You're a snuggly, sweet, happy angel.

Ou'side with Fin Fin in the hot Southern heat! You didn't seem to mind it here tho!
Seriously cracking me up!

Oh how she loves you!!

Wheezie came to visit you! and Fin Fin of course.

I thought that when Finley was your age, she looked like some of my baby pictures. And most people have said she looks like your Daddy. But I look at some of your pictures and even just looking at you, you look SO MUCH like some of my baby pictures. And several of our cousins have said you look just like Big Pop -- and I have to agree because your Uncle Blake looks just like him--  and especially in this picture above you look just like some of Blake's baby pictures!
Pastor Arlene was telling me she and other people have said she can't get over how much you two look like twins but how Fin Fin looks like Daddy and you look like me.

A walk outside! Actually it was a lot of walking outside. Your Daddy was home and worked in the yard and also had to get a limb up out of the front yard that fell off the pecan tree.. so Fin Fin helped him and you just snuggled on me while I watched.

This was totally by accident.
You are on the left and Fin Fin is on the right. So many similarities!

Snuggles with Daddy!

Handful of hair!

Your favorite place to be.. on the shoulder.

Smiles before bedtime!

Happy baby!! Your little personality is starting to really shine! I love seeing you more alert and watching you check everything out.

I laid you down for a late morning nap and you slept forever here on my bed! Just so peaceful and cozy. I hated to move you and actually had to wake you up to take you to your doctor's appointment.

We had another sleep over at Mama Jane's on 6.27. You were SOOOO HAPPY this morning! You and your sister were cracking me up 'playing' together. You couldn't stop smiling!

Mommy - daughter time outside!

I almost forgot about these shirts!
They were in a bag in your closet and I'm so glad I found them. They are two of my faves.

Daddy came home again from another travel week and you were loving him talking to you!

He misses his girls when he's gone.

Nightime smiles!

Fallyn, we are so thankful God blessed us with you!! You are absolutely precious and our hearts are so much fuller with you being added to our family. Fin Fin loves you so much and adores you dearly -- she just can't resist kissing all over you! She is the sweetest and just wants to love on you constantly.
We love you so much!!
