Paleo Banana Pancakes

Reporting to you live another paleo recipe that I absolutely LOVE! I know that I have already said that about the Pistachio Energy Bites but I have made these pancakes SEVERAL times... Shane loves these too!
We had them again yesterday (I probably need to watch how many times I have these) and just like Ultimate Paleo Guide suggests... its becoming one of my favorites for Saturday mornings!

PHOTO

  1. Ingredients:
  2. 2 ripe bananas
  3. 2 eggs
  4. 2 tsp honey
  5. 1 tsp almond milk
  6. 3 tbsp coconut flour
  7. 1/2 tsp baking soda
  8. Pinch of salt
  9. 1/2 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen
  10. Maple syrup, for topping
  11. Coconut oil

  1. Whisk the bananas, eggs, honey, and almond milk together in a large bowl.
  2. Add the coconut flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Set aside to rest for 4-5 minutes to allow the coconut flour to soak up the batter.
  4. Meanwhile, place the blueberries and your desired amount of maple syrup into a saucepan over low heat.
  5. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-8 minutes, until the blueberries have released their juices. Set aside to cool.
  6. Heat a griddle to medium heat and coat with coconut oil.
  7. Pour about 1/4 cup of the batter onto the griddle to make a small pancake.
  8. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the pancake can be flipped.
  9. Carefully flip over and cook for another 3-4 minutes until lightly browned and cooked through.
  10. Repeat with the remaining batter.
  11. Serve warm, drizzled with the blueberry syrup

Let me know if you try them and how they turn out!
I'm pretty sure you will thank me. Ha!

Kyli digs...

One of the things that gets me cracked up about Kyli is her determination to find whatever it is that her sniffer picks up..
She will KEEP after a rodent until she succeeds in finding it and she can sniff it out of wherever she is! I won't go into too many details about her helping out around the house.... it does come with a 100 year old farm house tho.
Monday I got home from the grocery store and let the Amigas out while getting groceries out of the car.. They normally lay out in sun where I can see them but they weren't so I went looking...
I didn't have to look too far!!! She was beside the house D-I-G-G-I-N-G like a mad dog!
I don't know how long she had been at it or what she was trying to get but me calling her name didn't slow her down a bit!
It's just the little things that crack me up with the pups!

She was definitely in her happy place!

WEEKENDING // Curls, Baseball, & a Bull Terrier

Can I do this weekend over again please?
Monday has made its way here entirely too fast!

I started my weekend off right with this Guac Burger Friday. My wonderful Aunt got her hair done and treated me to a little place called The Savory Spoon. The chef there is awesome and he will make our burgers Paleo style for us using the fresh, seasonal veggies.
Hands down the best burger ever!

Saturday I slept in... can you say UUUH-mazing!....
Hung around with the puppies, did some work around the house, got my workout in at the gym, and had a Sushi date with Stacey. (One of my dear high school friends)
Love me some sushi! We even got attacked by some kind of huge cricket at dinner! YIKES I hope none of that was in any of our rolls! HA!
You may have seen this on Instagram already but my hair hasn't been holding curl with my trusty curling iron. SO after seeing a girls hair on Insta that had curled her hair with a wand, I decided to blow the dust off mine and try it on Friday... my hair stayed ALL day long!
Well, lets try it again for girls night!
I curled, ran my fingers thru, and sprayed with a little shine spray.

Done and done! I think the wand will be hanging around for awhile!

After I got home, I checked out what was going on with the World Series and boy was it a great game! The Giants were down and they battled their way back for a W!

Table for 1 please!
It was just too pretty of a morning yesterday to not enjoy breakfast out on the back porch.
The puppies enjoyed their sunbathing too.

Braselton was hosting their annual Antique Festival and Connie and I made our way over shortly after lunch.
We found some GREAT deals as soon as we got there! That's what you can look forward to going on the last day.. vendors want to get rid of their stuff so they don't have to take it back home with them!

1. What a unique piece! I would have LOVED to have snatched this up! We had never seen anything like it.
2. Love these crowns!
3. I loved these ornaments and think they would be pretty easy to make. Just spray some adhesive glue and dip it in epsom salt!

Still don't have a mantle over the fireplace in the kitchen and Connie spotted this one. I loved it but I don't think it's wide enough.

Back in April, these were $25!
They still had this Louisville Slugger now at $12 and since Team Elite does so much with them, I couldn't resist getting it for Coach's office.
It was an even a better deal at $10!
I heard myself saying.. "Will you take 10 for it?" and she said yes!
I must admit I walked away from that booth a little taller... American Pickers anyone?

AND, I was a TOTAL crazy lady yesterday who may or may not have attacked this bull terriers owners. Ha!
No.. really.. I think I handled myself pretty well despite all the excitement that was about to BUST out of me for seeing one of these puppies in person!
I want one soooo bad!!
The couple was SO sweet and so kindly let me have a picture or two with their pup. Sweet little thing didn't even have a name yet tho.. they had just gotten her the day before.
Ohhh my at the puppy breath too! Oh my goodness I can't WAIT until I get my very own!

So, Coach has been in Jupiter for the Perfect Game WWBA tournament. His last one of the 2014 Team Elite season. They battled and made their way into the first rounds of the championship and lost in a tiebreaker against the Orlando Scorpions. From what I hear it was a heartbreaker.
I was scrolling thru Instagram and stumbled upon these on a parents page.. made me SMILE HUGE seeing my Boo!
Thank you 2hite for capturing these photos! Cracks me up the kids call him "The Hopper"!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
Have yourself a wonderful Monday too!

Fall Front Porch ... FINALLY!

Better late than never!
A little late this year getting the front porch decorated for fall and this is as good as its gonna get too.
Super bummed about my wreath because it TOTALLY did NOT turn out like I had pictured and bless it, it looks so tiny on the door. Ha.
I do love the bright colors, all the tin, and the old, blue mason jar stash I found in the barn. Score! I left it just as I found it.
Picture overload coming right up!

We have slowly every year cut back on how many pumpkins we get.. I mean how many do you really need??
Can't wait for me and Coach's pumpkin carving date!

oh hey FRIDAY // 5 on Friday

HAPPY FRIDAY friends!

It has been a WONDERFUL week and I hope you have had a wonderful one also!

1/

These sunsets on the farm!
God has really been showing off lately with His artwork.
They have been breathtaking lately and it just puts a big ol' smile on my face!

 2/

It's getting cooler so you know what that means...
the Amigas are in cuddle mode.
And these of Sox are just precious.. sawing logs hugged up with her rope and she has NEVER laid in the kitchen floor before. When she walks across the tile you would think it was going to jump up and grab her! She just marched herself in the kitchen, plopped down and watched me cook.

3/

Speaking of dogs....
Oh my GOOOODNEEESSS this is PRECIOUS!
I wish more people would be open to adopting! In my opinion, rescues are THE best and I just KNOW they are forever thankful.
4/

The bestie is the BEST!
How awesome is this?? My very own Christmas Planner!
It has got every page you would EVER need for some holiday planning.. calendar, Christmas card list, dinner menu, gift planner for family and friends.. the list goes on!
i. will. be. organized.

5/

Continuing with the fall decor around the house here is a sneak peek of the front porch!

Now head on over and link-up too!

Yellows & Oranges & Hints of Red

Not too long ago, I told y'all I was looking forward to sharing the fall touches I put out throughout the house.
Everything you see I already had..
not to skip over fall/thanksgiving too much but I am looking forward to decorating for Christmas so I decided to save my $$ for that. Christmas decorations are my FAVE!
For now and a few more weeks I am enjoying the bright colors around here!

Dining room..

This time of year always takes me back to our wedding day..

Guest Bathroom..

I love these wood pieces from our wedding. I wish things had not been so stressful towards the end because these would look way better than how they turned out. By the time I was able to finish them I just didn't care anymore.
Still a wonderful reminder tho of that sweet day and I love that I still have them.

Living room..

And just a little touch in the kitchen plus my Pumpkin Roll Scentsy that I am slightly addicted to these days.
