Happy National Dog Day

So I learned today that it was National Dog Day!
I was going to spare everyone on social media because, if you couldn't tell already, I am CONSTANTLY uploading pictures of my sweet pups. But then I was seeing everyone's pictures and I couldn't leave my loves out.
So here are some of my FAVORITE pics of them. There were WAY too many to choose from!
Just FYI: this almost didn't happen because my first collage crashed and I had to start ALL over again.

We have certainly been blessed with these sweet angels! They are full of love they don't mind sharing either, they do some of THE funniest things, and my goodness they are the BEST snuggle buddies ever.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

It's HUUUMP DAAAY!

Here is what I am LOVING today..

I am loving Mara's daily routine staring out the window. EVERYDAY she sits in this exact position at this same window.. checking to make sure things are right with the world. Hahaha..

I am loving this devotion today out of my Jesus Calling book:

Waiting on Me means directing your attention to Me in hopeful anticipation of what I will do. It entails trusting Me with every fiber of your being, instead of trying to figure things out yourself. Waiting on Me is the way I designed you to live: all day, every day. I created you to stay concious of Me as you go about your daily duties.
I have promised many blessings to those who wait on Me: renewed strength, living above one's circumstances, resurgence of hope, awareness of My continual Presence. Waiting on Me enables you to glorify Me by living in deep dependence on Me, ready to do My will. It also helps you to enjoy Me; in My Presence is fullness of Joy.

Lamentations 3:24-26; Isaiah 40:31; Psalm 16:11 (NKJV)

I am loving I already got my workout in this morning--

I love it when I can do it in the mornings and not have to worry about it when I get off work.

I am loving that I get to spend tomorrow lunch with the Bestie for her birthday!!
I love you tons!

Hope all of you have a blessed, wonderful day!
What are YOU loving?

A Late 2014 New Year's Post

In searching for the picture's in my last post I ran across these tonight.
Christmas day I came down with the flu and was out of commission for what seemed like forever. I don't do well laying around very long. By New Year's I was ready to get out of the house! We decided on PF Chang's where we had our 3 first dates.. I hope to get "Our Love Story" written ASAP! Before we headed off to dinner, Tracie came down to the house and snapped some family photos. I imagine this is what it is like taking photos with children.. no one is ever looking at the camera at the same time, "children are arguing", and some family members are blinded by the flash. I'm not mentioning any names here. wink, wink.
Here is what we got!

Sox and Mara were separated right here because they almost got into a scuffle! Sisterly love!

Mara is ready to get this show over with..

Makes for some fun, family memories!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I'm loving I got to sleep in with Coach and have a little afternoon time before work. Such a nice change from time to time.

Once again, I'm loving this cooler weather. It's a little windy here today!

I'm loving I got to go to the gym mid-day. There aren't any crowds and I don't miss the meat heads who just go to stare at themselves in the mirror.

I'm loving Kyli-bugs has gotten back into cuddle mode. She knows it's getting cooler too.

I'm loving my afternoon walk in the sun and hanging out with these crazy pups!

She will be getting a bath tho after this roll around.

I'm loving that I'm OFF this Saturday!! Oh boy oh boy!! What's a girl gonna do?? I'm gonna spend time with this handsome fellow!

 Happy, Happy, Happy Day All!

Pumpkin Cookies for Pups

Saturday my BFF Amber came over with one of her awesome kiddos, Sass, and as soon as they walked in the door they treated the 3 Amigos with some homemade treats.
They loved them!

This isn't the recipe the pups got but this is another she found and shared with me. You can find it, originally from here, along with a few others that are healthy for pups.

I didn't have anything doggie cookie cutter so I opted for a candy cane..

Hey, who says you can't have Christmas in July??
I think the Pups certainly thought Christmas Day was here!

You will need:

2 1/2 cups brown rice flour
2 tablespoons flax seed meal
2 extra large eggs, lightly beaten
3/4 cup canned pumpkin puree
1/4 cup cold water or enough to make dough stick

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
Combine brown rice flour and flax meal in a large bowl. Mix eggs and pumpkin together in a separate bowl until smooth. Add pumpkin mixture to brown rice mixture in two parts, stirring with a wooden spoon or spatula. Add water slowly. Use your hands to pull the dough together.

Roll dough out between two pieces of waxed or parchment paper to desired thickness. (about 1/4" thick.) Remove top piece of waxed/parchment paper, flip dough onto brown rice floured counter, remove top piece, and then cut biscuits using desired cookie cutter. Re-roll and cut scraps until you’ve used every possible bit of dough.

Place biscuits on parchment lined baking sheets (or lightly greased with oil). If using a dog bone shaped cutter, gently press down, wiggle a little, then lift out.

Bake for 30 to 45 minutes, until the top of the biscuit has dried out completely. Let biscuits cool on wire racks.
Somebody knows exactly where the goods are at!

Store in an airtight container.

Makes 36 large dog biscuits

Sox and Mara finally joined me and Kyli in the kitchen!

It didn't take long for them to cool. The 3 Amigos absolutely LOVED them and Mama love's that she knows exactly what is in them! Coach and I aren't the only ones eating healthy around here.

Hope your furr babies love them just as much as the 3 Amigos!

Lots of Love!

Thankful Thursday

Y'all have to know by now that I LOVE my puppies..

LOVE THEM.

They bring so much joy to Coach and I and are constantly making us laugh with the silly things they do. I wish at times we were able to get into their minds and just see exactly what they are thinking.

Every day when I come home from work the first thing I do is come in and let Mara and Kylee out of their kennels and watch all three sprint out the back door, all while trying not to get ran over by any of them. They are always so excited like they haven't seen you weeks! Last Tuesday, Kylee really did not sprint at all and when she finally made it out the door she winced when her paws hit the ground.
She came back inside and seemed fine so I thought maybe she was just landed wrong or something. The next day, she still was a little slow moving, wasn't jumping around like normal, hunched back, stayed to herself up under one of the kitchen chairs, very abnormal, so what did I do?

I panicked.

I was calling the emergency vet line.. facebook messaging friends who are employees at the vet trying to get answers on what could possibly be wrong with my little Bugs! The vet called me back and told me it sounded like she had injured her back to give her a Benedryl to hopefully relax her a bit and let her be. She ate her dinner and was drinking water so those were all good signs.

We finally made it to the vet's office the next day and of course, like some children probably do in the doctor's office, made a complete liar out of me and was ALL over the place like nothing was wrong. During her examination, the vet explained that their adrenaline pumps so much while they are there they can block out the pain and not show any signs of where it may be coming from.

Great.

Scared to death.
Wore herself out from fighting.

They even did a couple of X-rays, I feel sorry for those techs trying to handle that little lady, and came back with some news that she may possibly have a fracture in her neck. I think my upper lip broke out in sweat beads from panic and MY adrenaline started pumping. BUT, they did another one just in case and it came back normal.

PRAISE THE LORD!

They did recommend her going into a halter instead a regular collar to take some of the stress of her neck just in case. Final diagnosis?? --She could have taken a wrong leap off the bed or one of the bigger pups we could have stepped on her. Not meaning to but just playing rough outside or possibly got her when they all go flying out the door. I will admit Kylee has had some dust rolls in her time here on the farm.

A big FAT vet bill later, two different meds, strict orders to no jumping, no chasing squirrels, and mostly kennel 'bed rest', we were on our way home! Bless her heart, she wanted to be so excited to be on a car ride but her body just wouldn't let her.

Today, she has started being back to her old young self again and I am loving it!

Yesterday morning she had some quality time with her sisters! This makes me so happy since she has been keeping to herself.
Notice Sox's old bed is back since she decided to get a little dirty than normal outside a couple days ago. No gettin' the new bed nasty!

A little cuddle time when I first got home last night.

My little grey-beard sweet girl. I can't believe how much grey she is getting. She has been my little cuddle buddy for so long now! I know she will be back full force before long and when she is I have GOT to get her on video when she gets the zoomies.

It. Is. Hilarious.

Can't wait for her to get fully well and so thankful it wasn't anything worse!

Enjoying the Sun

It was SOOOO BEAUTIFUL today!!!
After yesterday all I wanted to have was some warmer weather!

I. FROZE.
yesterday.
I have no clue why I was so cold. I didn't even leave the house. All day.

I had a few errands this morning to do, Coach and I met at the gym afterwards for a little workout, headed back home and he suggested a walk to the pond.

No cell phones.
Just us, the pups, and nature.

Oh, and my 30 day rental Nikon.
Teehee

The below is the above picture blown up.

That is one happy girl!

blown up of above..
My sweet angels.

We turned around and Kylee was trying to bring this "stick" up to the bank.
Take note it's bigger than her.
Silly girl.

 They were loving it..

Yup, the mantle is still there.

If you saw the last DD, Mara would be my poodle retriever. Ha!!
Look at her ready to go!

I think I need some camera lessons.

Hope you enjoyed our walk with us.
