5 on Friday

This week has been pretty low key and nothing TOO exciting except having the day off yesterday and spending some time with Amber for her birthday! Lunch was good and it was great catching up as always! It just needed to be a little longer.

Linking up again for:

1. Speaking of Amber's birthday, I surprised her with this chair planter. Made and painted by yours truly. Customized in her favorite color and added a fluer de li on the back.

2.. This cracks me up. Especially knowing I have to come in tomorrow at 7:30AM to do hair and makeup for a wedding. So thankful for the business God has blessed me with but I am just not a morning person.

3. I'm REALLY trying not to complain and be patient but I cannot WAIT to get my regular phone back. There was a software glitch in mine and I am having to get it replaced. Been without it since Monday and this loner phone is driving me crazy!! I can't hardly type on it, not all of my contacts will sync, and I have missed a couple of phone calls. The latter part of that statement is kind of important when you do all of your business thru your phone. And I love taking pictures and it's just not really happening with this one. Off my rant now.

4. Yesterday, I received a request for the making of something similar to this for a baby's arrival in a couple of weeks. How CUTE is this? I love painting and doing crafty things so I am super excited to make it. I hope to get started on it this Monday!

5. I have always had trouble 95% of the time getting into these jeans... NOT TODAY!!! I have gotten a ton of help from a friend who is helping me with eating clean and so much more. Working on that post and it should be coming this weekend!

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Dear Coach,

If you ever need someone to cry to
If you ever need someone to hold you

I will be there
Standing by your side
I will be there
Standing by your side

If you ever need someone
To just love you
If you ever need someone
To simply adore you

I will be there
Standing by your side
I will be there
Standing by your side

From the mountains to the sea
And the city
From the valleys to the moon
In every country

I will be there
Standing beside you
I will be there
Standing by your side

I will be there

I love you to infinity and back Boo! I will always be here for you!
Our love is growing stronger everyday and I cherish every moment of it!
Yes, even the moments when we have had it up to our eyeballs with each other. wink, wink.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

It's HUUUMP DAAAY!

Here is what I am LOVING today..

I am loving Mara's daily routine staring out the window. EVERYDAY she sits in this exact position at this same window.. checking to make sure things are right with the world. Hahaha..

I am loving this devotion today out of my Jesus Calling book:

Waiting on Me means directing your attention to Me in hopeful anticipation of what I will do. It entails trusting Me with every fiber of your being, instead of trying to figure things out yourself. Waiting on Me is the way I designed you to live: all day, every day. I created you to stay concious of Me as you go about your daily duties.
I have promised many blessings to those who wait on Me: renewed strength, living above one's circumstances, resurgence of hope, awareness of My continual Presence. Waiting on Me enables you to glorify Me by living in deep dependence on Me, ready to do My will. It also helps you to enjoy Me; in My Presence is fullness of Joy.

Lamentations 3:24-26; Isaiah 40:31; Psalm 16:11 (NKJV)

I am loving I already got my workout in this morning--

I love it when I can do it in the mornings and not have to worry about it when I get off work.

I am loving that I get to spend tomorrow lunch with the Bestie for her birthday!!
I love you tons!

Hope all of you have a blessed, wonderful day!
What are YOU loving?

DIY Bird Feeder

Back during the snow storm, I felt so bad for the little birdies that may have been hungry. My MIL actually gave me this quick and simple idea to get some food in their bellies.

She gave me everything I needed for this little project and I actually made more yesterday.
Thank you ma'am!

You will need:

pine cones
peanut butter
bird seed
twine
scissors
knife

I started out by wrapping the twine around the pine cone.

Next, take a knife and paint on your peanut butter.

Dip it in the bird seed..

And it is ready to be hung!

Ours is hanging in front of a window so we can enjoy watching them. There have been some gorgeous cardinals hanging around the front yard these days!

5 on Friday

Linking up this GORGEOUS Spring Friday for 5 on Friday. I cannot be more thrilled with these warmer temps! One of my friends posted on Facebook yesterday saying anyone who saw her outfit definitely knew it was the first day of Spring. Well, I guess that went for me too. Now I just need a little bit of color!

1. Speaking of Spring, my Mom requested blonde Wednesday night at her appointment. I absolutely LOVE it on her!

2. Last night was my fourth sewing class. I am so sad I only have two more left! I ALMOST got my bag finished.

You can't really see it but I split this huge pocket on one side and made it into two.

I am pretty sure Mrs. Ann would have let me stay longer to finish it BUT I already went over 30 minutes and had stayed late last week too. Next week I think I am going to shoot for a little bit of curtain making!

3. Last Saturday while out galavanting, my car found its way to Hobby Lobby and I picked up more fabric. I want to make another bag and sell it.. I think it would make a great Mother's Day gift!

4. We haven't made it to the mountain yet this year but I am PRAYING we will get up there this Sunday or Monday. We are pushing it right here at the end of the season and I will be soo sad if we miss it. I mean Coach, you DID buy your own board and everything last year.

5. Just love these puppies so much.

I made Coach dinner the other night and these Amigos were just a beggin' like they never get food of their own. Heffa please..

In Other News...

I FINALLY FOUND A HEADPIECE!!

It was staring at me yesterday at the beauty supply store.
Strategically placed right there at the register just for me.

I honestly think I could have seriously been a hippie back in the day, too.

Sunday Social

Hope everyone had a great Sunday! Coach and I were heathens and slept in this morning. I slept til 11:30 and who knows what time Coach got up. It felt so good tho. I could tell my body needed sleep and rest. I was so crabby last night.
Linking up with Ashley and Neely for another

Sunday Social

1. How much time do you spend on Social Media a day?...be honest

Probably WAY TOO MUCH!! I am honestly trying to be better about it.

2. How long were you reading blogs before you started a blog?

A few weeks? I cannot remember.

3. What is your favorite kind of cupcake?

Strawberry with Cream Cheese icing.. Oh. my.

4. Do you eat fast food? If so whats your favorite?

I cannot stand the THOUGHT of fast food. When I was eating it, I loved Zaxby's.. Big Zax Snack dipped in hot honey mustard sauce. AND, I may or may not have one on my way to the mountains. And it was a huge mistake. You can ask Amber. Stayed in the bathroom ALL weekend. Never again. Sorry for the TMI.

5. What is the most random thing someone would find in your purse?

I think I'm pretty 'normal' when it comes to items in my pocket book.. wallet, lipgloss, phone.. Boring I know.

6. What is the weirdest TV show you watch?

Naked and Afraid? Who comes up with this stuff?

Off to watch Dallas Buyers Club! Couldn't resist after seeing the Oscars. Sunday date night with my handsome honey. Love him SOOO much!

Sew watcha been up to on Thursday nights?

So my BFF from high school, Georgia, sent me a message a few weeks ago, telling me about a place where she had been taking sewing classes. She had seen me pinning a few sewing DIY tutorials on Pinterest. She said she would love for me to take a class with her because it would be like old times! We had home ec together. I talked it over with Coach, got online, and got the LAST spot in the class! It was meant to be!
The Blessed Babe is not too far from our house and Mrs. Ann's studio is sooo adorable! Two hours of class just isn't long enough. You can even take your own machine if you like but she has everything there you need.

We had orientation on Februrary 22, just to learn basics like what a bobbin was, threading the machine, etc., and our first class was Febuary 27. Our first project was a pillow and of course I had to get Georgia colors. I cut out the felt flowers before class and finished it the first night.

Last Thursday I started back on my Cosmo Bag from the Amy Butler book Amber got me for Christmas.

I had gotten as far as cutting out the pattern, cutting my fabric, and ironing on the interfacing. In class, I pleated the bag, sewed on the band, and four of the handles.

I know that doesn't sound like much but that was some tedious work! Especially with all the curves and the turning you had to do for the stitching. And if any of you have ever sewn and followed Amy Butler's directions they are VERY difficult to follow. At least they are for me...

What I have so far...

I can't wait for tonight and see it come together even more!
You can follow along on my Instagram to get snippets from class.

A touch of Spring..

I couldn't help sharing this one.
It rained early this morning and as I was leaving for work the sun was making its way thru the clouds. And of course I grabbed my phone for a little picture taking because it was so beautiful. One of my favorite things about spring time coming are the bradford pear trees blooming in the pasture. I love looking out into the open and seeing the gorgeous sea of white blooms. Can't wait for them to get even fuller!

It had gotten much cooler by the time I got home and VERY windy. The horses were enjoying it! They were running around and acting like a bunch of banshees.

The clouds were so pretty on the ride home. I wish I could've stopped in the middle of the road in several places and captured some shots. Oh well, I was still blessed with a beautiful ride home.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

How is everyone's week so far? I can never get over how fast the days seem to fly by and here we are again halfway thru the week.
Linking up with Samantha from Everyday With S and J today for What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I am loving these shots of the gorgeous sunset I captured Monday night here at the Hopper House...

I am loving these sweet pups! ..

I am loving this new addition I put in the dining room on Monday. I went to the MIL inventory and found this for a little more organization with my cookbooks. It fits perfectly in this little nook and the original bakers rack will go! ...

I am loving that my hubby took the Polar Plunge Challenge. I'm not quite sure how it originally got started but it has taken off and even turned into a fundraiser for the Bethlehem Christian Academy (where we attend church)..

I am loving this time change and so excited about there still being day light when I leave work!!

What are you loving today?
