Making Progress...

As I mentioned here a couple weeks ago, Coach was ready to start working on fixing the dam. Well with a gorgeous weekend that was headed our way, he took full advantage, had a toy delivered to the house, and he, his Dad, and a couple friends got to work early Saturday morning.
Getting the 411 on driving..

I got started on housework but tried to keep up with pictures in between. He decided to get a little practice in where he had first began digging up this annoying privot hedge with his tractor...

The next time I looked out the window, it was out of the ground! YAY!!!
This thing has blocked so many beautiful sunsets.

Now that it's gone it has just completely opened up the whole yard. I LOVE it!

I love how you can just see out to the pasture.

I took a walk down to the pond later on for some documentation for Coach..

.. See what a pretty day it was? I couldn't wait to be outside when I saw it was supposed to be in the high 60's.

I was a little confused on why Coach wasn't driving and I soon found out that he got stuck. Hee hee.

The new pipe is officially in the ground!

I went back down later on, without my camera boo, another pipe had to be added because the first wasn't long enough, the dirt my Dad had delivered was being packed over the piping, and rocks were being laid.

While they were waiting on the new pipe, Coach took that time to dig out around another pipe on the opposite side that runs out of the creek bed.. this will allow that water to run into the pond.

Photo op.. so pretty.

Bad news, when Coach got in that evening, he told me the one of the tracks came off the escavator. Thank goodness it waited to happen at the end of the day, BUT he had it rented for all day yesterday too and couldn't even use it. So he and his Dad cleaned up all the privot hedge in the yard and made a HUGE burn pile.

I caught the chickens giving themselves a bath while sunbathing. They were throwing dirt everywhere. I have pretty much given up on their coup.

********************

Coach was back at it again early this morning! Harco came over and put the track back on.. unfortunately it has been pouring rain, I washed and detailed my car yesterday.. you're welcome, so I'm not real sure what or how much has been able to get done. Rain has let up finally, and no one has made it back to the house yet, so I'm thinking that's a good sign.

BUMPDATE // 16 Weeks

HOW FAR ALONG //

16 Weeks.. Two bonus points for me.. We got this taken on the actual date.

I just feel like the belly has POPPED o-u-t.

16 weeks belly pic chalkboard

Kyli wanted her picture taken with me this week.

BABY SIZE // An avocado.

Baby Hop's legs are much more developed, his/her head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of the head. The ears are close to their final position, that patterning of the scalp has begun, and he has even started growing toenails.
His/her heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day and this will continue to rise.

My app tells me to get ready for a growths spurt because over the next few weeks, baby will double weight and inches!

MY SYMPTOMS // Friday at work, I felt some kind of muscle spasm feeling in my lower stomach. It freaked me out a little so I called the doctor and really didn't get an answer. It hasn't happened again but I'm assuming it's everything stretching and moving around. I really feel like my stomach has popped out these past two weeks.. holy stomach I'm not used to this thing being here.

I know you can start to feel movement between now and 22 weeks but I haven't felt anything yet. No bubbles, no fluttering, nothing and I'm paying close attention.

MATERNITY CLOTHES // Rocked a couple pairs of jeans this week using the rubber band trick and can still fit into my tops. This is probably due to the fact that I don't have many fitted tops in my wardrobe. The leggings I wore this week did have to be rolled down because it was uncomfortable across my stomach.

SLEEP // So so.

MOVEMENT // None yet. Maybe sooner than later!

CRAVINGS // I craved a DQ vanilla fudge icecream last Saturday and this past Friday night.. drum roll please.. Sloppy Joe's! Y'all I seriously have not had one of those or even given thought to a Sloppy Joe in YEARS. I mean seriously since I was in high school.

GENDER // Feb 23rd is the Dr Appt... we'll find out that Friday if there are no surprises in the dr office. I don't even know what I'm looking at on those pictures anyway so maybe it will be all good.

WHAT I MISS // I can tell ya what I DON'T miss right now.. having to deal with Aunt Flo every month. That's just been quite nice.

WORK OUTS // I got in a couple this week. One day I did a TON of lunges and squats and walked on the treadmill at an incline for 45 minutes.. I don't recommend that after not doing so much for a little while. I needed a handicap rail to lower myself on the toilet for the next couple days after that. OUCH.

EMOTIONS // Not really sure if this counts as an emotion but I've found this week I'm not so sure if I like people touching my belly. A weird feeling and saying this, I feel like I've always been super conscious of reaching out to other pregnant women's belly's but if there was any case that I just went crazy and rubbed and rubbed and rubbed AND RUBBED, please forgive me. Oh my goodness, I thought that moment was never going to pass.

DREAMS // I know I've been dreaming because I don't feel rested at night when I wake up and I have remembered what they were right when I do wake... but off the top of my head right now nothing stands out that's super crazy.

HUBBY'S THOUGHTS // Still being sweet and lays his hand on my belly when we pray.

3 AMIGAS THOUGHTS // Kyli has been clingy and mouthy. Sox and Mara have just been lounging around in their own world. Can't wait to see how all of them start acting next month when Operation Nursery starts.

BEST PREGNANCY MOMENT THIS WEEK //

I was on the phone with Shane this week after work and he said "Love y'all".
O. M. G.
Total sweetness.

My Mom brought you some gifts to the salon this week Baby Hop!

February Goals

baseball diamonds & hairspray goals

So I had every intention of making a January goals list but before I knew it, the month was practically over! So onto February I go!
With Baby coming, I really need to write this stuff down so I can see it and track just what I have gotten done... or have not gotten done. Gotta get my tail in gear!

In no particular order:

1// HEALTH

*Drink more water.
I'm not getting nearly enough.
*Make more healthier food choices.
Still need to clean it up more. There are times when nothing sounds good so I reach for whatever I can get down. I just want to make more of an effort for healthy foods.
*Exercise more.
Even if its lunges around the house or a light weights session in the living room.

2// FOR ME AND SHANE

*Call our insurance agent for Life Insurance.
This should have been done a LONG time ago and it WILL be done before Shane starts traveling.
*Make a dentist appointment.
I am past due for a cleaning!

3// PREGNANCY/BABY HOP

*Read, read, read these baby books!
I am having SUCH a hard time reading these books. I've always had a hard time getting into these kind..gotta have a good fiction book to hold my attention.
*Go shopping for a new bra and belly bands.
I have gone as long as I can with my bras, and in case I wake up one morning and just can't rubber band my jeans, I want to be prepared!
Anybody have any feedback on belly bands?
*FOR REAL start purging the spare bedroom.
I had great plans for this room Saturday and I was laid up on the couch most of the day. This room is truly my closet/sewing/craft/makeup vanity/office/catch all with a bed right in the middle of it. I want as much out as possible before our appointment on the 23rd because as soon as we find out what the sex is, ITS ON with the nursery decor!

4// JUST FOR FUN

*Start on sewing my second Amy Butler bag.
I have had this fabric for months now and haven't even started cutting the pattern yet. If I could just start and actually finish, I know I could sell it and make some extra money!

Just a few things for this month and I'm sure I'll think of something else as the days go on. For now, I don't want to get too overwhelmed with too much at one time! Purging the spare bedroom is going to be THE biggest project because who knows where I'm going to put everything that's staying.
