DIY Bird Feeder

Back during the snow storm, I felt so bad for the little birdies that may have been hungry. My MIL actually gave me this quick and simple idea to get some food in their bellies.

She gave me everything I needed for this little project and I actually made more yesterday.
Thank you ma'am!

You will need:

pine cones
peanut butter
bird seed
twine
scissors
knife

I started out by wrapping the twine around the pine cone.

Next, take a knife and paint on your peanut butter.

Dip it in the bird seed..

And it is ready to be hung!

Ours is hanging in front of a window so we can enjoy watching them. There have been some gorgeous cardinals hanging around the front yard these days!

I think I need to do this with my kids... it looks simple enough and I think they'll enjoy watching the birds. Thanks for the idea and info!

I love this :)) I would make these for my yard but my neighbor has a million bird feeders so I think they would still like her yard better! :))
