For our wedding, I wanted to make as much as I could on my own. Not only is it more sentimental, which I am ALL about, but you are also saving money in the process.
Why pay someone when you can do it on your own?
Thankfully the Lord blessed me with a little creative side when He made me and I was able to do a lot...
Including the flower girl baskets.
I wanted to do something rustic to go along with the theme of our wedding so of course, being the Google queen I am, I started Googling and found my inspiration.
I fell in LOVE.
Here is all I used below:
From Michaels:
Moss
Wooden Hearts
Basket
Walmart:
Fabric
You will also need:
glue gun
glue sticks
brown marker
scissors
I started by hot glueing the moss all around the rim of the basket...
I cut the fabric into strips...
And started rolling them into a flower shape.
I'm not good with an explanation on how I did it, so I googled "rosette tutorials" for you and found this one here.
I actually like her way of doing it better.
step 1
step 2
step 3
glue the small flower in the center of the big flower
step 4
Glue them onto the basket
Next, I took a brown marker and drew our initials onto the wooden hearts...
And then glued those onto the baskets.
Here are some shots from the Big Day below!
