It has felt like a decade since I have written my last post! I have missed the blogging world.
So many things have been going on these days..
It is now
until the BIG DAY!!
CRAAZZZYYYYY how the time is flying by! You feel like you have time, you have time, and then
BAM!
It is here! Crunch time to get everything done!
A couple of weeks ago Mom, our cousin Marcia, and I went and picked out my Mom's dress..
Isn't she gorgeous?
And this is soooo not the color we chose. We weren't even going to try this dress because of the color but the Manager brought it to us at the end and talked us into trying it. We were glad she did! You never think the dress you don't want to try on will work but you never know!
Mom and I also hosted a shower for my little brother's, sister (did you get all that?), last Saturday..
Aren't they precious?
(I don't have a pic of all of us from the shower yet)
It was so much fun and their wedding is in ONE WEEK!!
Last Sunday we had our first shower. It was so much fun and at this super cute place!
If it was open today I would be working on this blog there! Coach is at Perfect Game today, and the Judson House has their own coffee shop with a cafe in the back. We got lots of great gifts. (And I am not going to lie, it was so awkward sitting in front of everyone opening them.) Since we feel like it is the right thing to do, we are waiting to use everything after we get married. It is soooo hard by the way! There are a few kitchen items I can't wait to try out.
We also picked out our invitations this week. My Wedding Planner gave us these HUGE books to look thru. I wish I had a picture of how massive these things were. I seriously think they weighed 30 pounds a piece. We finally narrowed it down and I know they will be perfect!
I did get out for a little fun Friday night. Last minute opportunity to go see Toby Keith!
(Casey and Lindsey who I work with at the Salon)
It was a great time! We had two Charter buses escort everyone to Lakewood, had BBQ catered to us, (let me just say I do NOT care for BBQ but I have been thinking non-stop about how awesome that sandwich was!), and it was such a great crowd of awesome people. AND I ended up knowing more songs than I thought I did! Of course, he did sing the famous Red Solo Cup and had huge red, blow up cups on stage.
Yesterday, I went over to my future Mom-in-laws house to take pics of all the stuff we have for the wedding. I want to use antique furniture and other family pieces for the ceremony and reception to give it a country, vintage feel and she has just about everything we need for that! She is very crafty and has helped SO much with getting everything ready. I can't wait to see the final look the day of see everything put together. Stay tuned!
In a couple of weeks I have our second shower.. A kitchen shower!
I am sooo excited!
I am so thankful for what everyone is doing to help, giving showers, and just being supportive! It's a great feeling knowing you are loved and cared for.
