Let's get Organized! AKA the Nesting Phase
Over the past several months, I have cleaned out, cleaned out, cleaned out and feel like we have gotten somewhat organized.
In no particular oder, here are a few things I've done in the house...
We had a basket full of hair samples I've gotten from the beauty supply store and hotel shampoos, conditioners, and lotions. I found some extra mason jars and separated all of them accordingly. For the past couple of trips to Target, TJ Maxx, and Michaels I have looked for some kind of small chalkboard stickers/labels that I could put on them but I haven't had any luck. So until then, they sit like this in the guest bathroom.
All my jewelry was in the guest bedroom, which is now the nursery, in a dresser.. a lot went in the yard sales and what didn't go I found these super cute wooden trays at TJ Maxx. These were the only two I could find out of several locations so after I went back a little later to hopefully find more....
... these were all I could find. I was so ready to just have everything in one place I went ahead and settled for these.
After our closet got finished, I found these baskets at Bed, Bath, & Beyond.
FYI guys don't ever throw those coupons away because they will take them even if they are expired!! They'll also let you use as many as you have on one purchase!
The dog food was separated into two plastic bins but I found this bin at TJ Maxx and now the whole 40lb bag goes into one place. Whoo hoo!
This past weekend, I spent two days in the kitchen throwing out appliances that we didn't need, deep cleaning, and organizing drawers.. including this one. It was a disaster. I had previously used this tray for makeup organization but now has a new home in the kitchen.
I found these beauties at TJ Maxx! I already have a few copper pieces in the kitchen and thought these would be perfect to add! I LOVE them!
Not really any organization going here but I couldn't pass them up thinking how great they would look in the house.
I found these in a magazine laying by the pool with Amber.. I'd love to add these to the kitchen someday as well!
Man does it feel great to have all this done!

BUMPDATE // 34 Weeks
HOW FAR ALONG// 34 weeks

BABY SIZE // About the size of a cantaloupe
Baby Hopper now weighs around 4 3/4 pounds and is almost 18 inches long. Fat layers are filling your baby out, making her rounder. Your baby's skin is also smoother than ever.
The central nervous system is maturing, and your baby's lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
MY SYMPTOMS //
My belly button is flush with my belly so I'm thinking by next month it may be out??
Sleep is so-so..
No stretch marks..
rings are still on..
no swelling, thank goodness because we have had some killer heat and humidity going on these days..
I've noticed a new patch of faint teeny, tiny veins on the inside of my left knee. I really hope they lighten up or disappear after I get all the weight off. Not sure if that happens? Wishful thinking anyone??
My legs feel so much better with my compression tights but now that its in the 90's I can't stand it. I was in a sweat all day at work yesterday even in the air..
Last week and this week, I've started seeing some of my clients for the last time before I go on leave. It feels so weird booking them with someone else! They are my family too and I'm having a hard time with it..
Trying to make sure I'm drinking enough water. I started cramping Monday after I left the Dr's office and she said at this point it could be Braxton Hicks or dehydration. Water is just absolutely disgusting these days.
MATERNITY CLOTHES // Yes and anything comfortable that I can get into.
SLEEP // Off and on good and bad. Mostly interrupted by bathroom breaks.. Lots of bathroom breaks.
MOVEMENT // Lots of dancing around at times! A couple times this week, there has been some uncomfortable moments.
CRAVINGS // I just want ice cold stuff and nothing quenches my thirst at all.
GENDER // Sweet girl who has the hiccups ALL the time!
WHAT I MISS // A lot.
WORK OUTS // 1/2 mile hike to and from picture location Sunday afternoon..
EMOTIONS // I'm getting a little overwhelmed with last minute things.. I still have a couple books I want to read and there seems to be no time.. other than that I feel good about what I've accomplished in the house and how the nursery is coming along.
I'm excited for our last shower this weekend!

DREAMS // Can't remember anything that really stands out.
HUBBY'S THOUGHTS // When we were putting together the crib, I asked, "Can you believe we are doing this and we are going to have a baby in here?" He was shaking his head saying no I cannot believe it. He was being serious. I guess it will truly hit us when she is in our arms! Ha!
3 AMIGAS THOUGHTS //
Lazy, lazy girls!
BEST PREGNANCY MOMENT THIS WEEK //
Getting the crib together! Thank you Coach!
And having maternity pictures done!
I can't wait to see them. Some were in a creek, some were in a field, and we were going to do some on a beach but it was WAY too crowded.
I had an ultrasound Monday and all looked great! HR was 135, all her measurements looked good, and she weighs 4 1/2 lbs. They even gave us a few more pictures since the last time her hand was in front of her face almost the whole time.. and guess what.. it was still in front of her face. She did move it for us so that was good and MY GOODNESS at her lips. They look so full! She was also closing and opening her mouth a good bit too.
Then I had to go back Tuesday morning for my checkup I missed last week.. BP was 100/62, Baby's HR was 140, and I have no idea how much I've gained because I didn't look and she didn't say. Which I guess if I was in danger of anything she would have said something. I did have to have a bacteria swab.. 40% of women are carriers of a certain bacteria, and if you are, they give you meds in your IV at the hospital.

MAKE-UP MONDAY
Happy Monday all!
The last weekend in May, I did just makeup only for a wedding party. I do not have one single picture of any faces I did because it went SO fast and the girls were running behind to get ready for pictures.
BUT,
One new product that I added to my kit and have fallen in love with is the MAC Strobe Cream.
I applied this to all the girls faces before the makeup application, it added moisture without being oily and brightened them up! If you think about it, what happens normally the night before weddings? There is drinking, staying up late, etc and that dehydrates you.. I loved that it added hydration without their makeup looking oily. Two more bonuses, it's lightweight and absorbs quickly!
Yesterday, I had my maternity pictures done in 93*+ heat and besides me blotting off the sweat and hitting my forehead with my powder brush, my makeup held up pretty dang good!

The ABC's of Me!
Good morning friends!
What an eventful one its been here already. I couldn't sleep between the hours of 3ish and 6ish, I have no idea when I finally passed out, I had all these alarms set to get up, and pulled a Husband move sleeping thru every single one of them, and missed my Dr's appt this morning!
BOO. BOO. BOO.
Great news! -- Kyli seems to be back to her normal self. This makes me happy, happy, happy.
Anyways, my creativity has failed me these past several months, and after visiting Pinky's blog, I couldn't pass up on the fun of this post. Thanks for letting me borrow ma'am!
My aunt posted this one day and I about died when I read it. Who comes up with these?? |

BUMPDATE // 33 Weeks
**some of this should be in 34 weeks but since I'm just now getting to this post and I how I don't want to forget some things fresh on my mind, here is a lot of update!
HOW FAR ALONG // 33 weeks
BABY SIZE // about the size of a pineapple
MY SYMPTOMS //
Oh my goodness! Monday at Firehouse on our lunch date, a young girl went up to 2 Army men and said "Thank you for taking care of our country." I was totally fine at this point but then when they were about to leave, they asked her Dad if she would want a patch.. I can't remember much after this because I was too busy crying in the middle of the restaurant!! It would NOT stop! Coach said, if you don't stop you are gonna make me cry. Wow at the hormones!
The weepiness continued all thru Tuesday and by Wednesday I was good again!
Somedays I feel really good being pregnant and then other days I am ready to be exercising full force, wearing "normal" clothes, and having tons of energy again. Then I feel guilty for thinking that because I know that Baby Hopper needs to stay in for some time longer...
I am feeling SOOO much better now that the nursery is nothing but nursery! The rest of the furniture is coming out this weekend after our second yard sale.
I took a couple days off and it was felt so amazing having a break! I'll even have a few half days this week which is awesome too.
Still feeling pressure and somedays it bothers me more than others...
I have woken up on my back a few times, regardless of how I try so hard to have pillows all around, and it makes for such a weird feeling in the belly!
Stretching really needs to become an everyday, several times a day habit.. my lower back could really benefit from it..
My spider veins sometimes hurt..
I am over taking the weekly chalkboard picture. It is really becoming a "chore"!..
Nothing has changed with my belly button as far as me thinking they are stretch marks. I was trying to find a bathing suit top in Target earlier this week and thought I saw a small pink one.. Got home it wasn't there so I don't know what it was. My Young Living oils came in the mail and I got a couple to mix together for helping with stretchies and I've been applying it ever since...
MATERNITY CLOTHES // yes.. maxi skirts.. my fave maternity tops.. compression tights.. pj's and big t-shirts when I get home. Even tho my legs are so white they could glow in the dark, I busted out my maternity shorts this week.
SLEEP // It really hasn't been the greatest lately.. No matter how tired I am, 2:30am seems to be the magic number that I wake up at and then I toss and turn and pee for the rest of the night. Then when its time to get up, I fall into the deepest sleep which is quite amazing.. just needs to last longer. I even drank some tart cherry juice which has always worked, but not so much this week.
MOVEMENT // At times on my bladder, whooo oh my! I think Baby Hopper had a dance party Tuesday in belly and must have worn herself out because I didn't feel very much movement on Wednesday until about midnight.
CRAVINGS // Anything hot and heavy sounds absolutely disgusting. I have always drank room temperature water and this week I have wanted ICE COLD everything.. water, smoothies, and nothing but these fruit popsicles I have found at Ingles. Pomegranate has been the bomb this week and Amber brought homemade pomegranate and cherry sherbet to the salon this week. O. M. G. Talk about delicious!!
GENDER // Sweet precious girl!
WHAT I MISS // Restful sleep, energy energy energy, normal clothes.
WORK OUTS // I never made water aerobics this week due to thunderstorms.. since the belly gets in the way bending down, if I have to get something out of the floor, I try and make it a squat! Baha!
Amber, me, and Sass did make it to the pool Monday and y'all let me just tell you how AMAZING that was! I finally toughed the cold water and got all the way in and to feel the weight off my body was absolutely wonderful. It was such a shock to get out and feel all that weight hanging back on me.

EMOTIONS //
Other than the weepiness, I've felt really good for the most part..
There are days when I just want to stare at my belly and watch her move inside me.. she will never be this close to me ever again and I just want to soak up every minute of these last couple months..
My mind is starting to roll again with lots and lots and lots of thoughts and some that I shouldn't even have to "worry" about..
There have been several comments made about Baby No #2 already and let me just tell you, this is getting really old in my book. Already thinking of another baby when this precious blessing isn't even here yet, makes me angry, it frustrates me, it's very pressuring, and it disappoints me! Our Baby Girl was not planned, and while I am SO thankful for having an easy pregnancy, it is my body and ULTIMATELY God's decision if He decides to bless and trust Shane and I with another baby. Until if and when that day comes, I am going to enjoy and love on this sweet, innocent, precious baby, who has all 10 fingers and 10 toes, and who is developing and growing the way God designed the human body to be.. a true precious miracle!!

HUBBY'S THOUGHTS // After 3 showers and him coming home from the field after being gone a few days, he's just in shock at all the baby stuff in the nursery now! As busy as he is, I think him seeing everything is really making it more real for him.
3 AMIGAS THOUGHTS //
Kyli and Sox had to check some things out after our shower on May 31st..
Sox is NOT as skinny as she appears in this picture. Just wanted to state that because I had to do a double take on this photo myself. She just had a vet appt and got an A+ from the Dr on her health! |
BEST PREGNANCY MOMENT THIS WEEK //
Being showered with lots of love from dear family and friends!
post to come!
This arrived in the mail for us..
And, Amber and I got some fabric ordered to start sewing the bedding! Whoo hoo!
Can't wait for the fun to begin!
Being showered with lots of love from dear family and friends!
post to come!
This arrived in the mail for us..
It's sooo soft!
I couldn't help but let Kyli try out Baby Hopper's headband. LOL as you can see she was THRILLED about it...
Gigi came home with me this past Saturday after our 3rd shower, helped me around the house, and helped me get the changing table together. Such a great helper! Shane was in Atlanta, so I was so glad to have her company and also help me get things done around the house. She's hired for cleaning! Ha!
We got it together! Whoo hoo!
I got a little bit of sun but it was so sticky humid I couldn't take it anymore..
Kyli of course found her favorite spot and you can see the other two heffas in the distance being mischevious...
This little girl is so sweet. She just got all kind of comfortable in my lap. Love it, love it.
One of the other two pups must have landed on her back going out the door or something because she has been down since Saturday evening. It has been so pitiful to watch her bow up and try to walk around the house. I know she has been in pain even tho we have been giving her meds. At one point she even hid in the office under the bench. We've been keeping her in her kennel for the most part to prevent her from jumping on and off furniture and its helping.. just ready for her to be back to her spunky self 100%!
