My Home away from Home...

With everyone talking about the beach and these CRAZY hott Georgia temps right now.. of 104 I must add.. its got me thinking about the sand and water myself!

The beach is my FAVORITE place to be.

I am patiently, (or at least trying), awaiting our honeymoon in November so until then, I will just have to reminisce over my last couple of trips.

A few years ago, my mom and I decided we would go on our first trip ever, by OURSELVES.. We had never been anywhere just us on a trip ever, so I think we both may have thought, "This could be interesting."

Trust me when I say we put the fun in dysFUNctional. Haha.

BUT...... IT WAS SOOO MUCH FUN!

My mom's boss and his wife have a condo at Cape San Blas, we packed our bags, and headed out.

My mom sordove has a SUPER BIG crush on Johnny.. well this is the very first picture of our road trip adventure.. She didn't forget him. ;-)

After the looonnngggg drive there we FINALLY made it! YAY!!!

As I think back on this trip I think of how great it was. The way us gals do it, is get up and eat breakfast, grab our books and magazines, towel and chair, cooler and sunglasses and head to the sand and water.

Sometimes you go in for lunch and sometimes we eat lunch right there on the beach. I seriously am in LOVE with the beach. When it gets near sunset or it's the last day you have to peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel me off of it.

It was so peaceful. There is definitley not a lot going on at Cape San Blas, so at times we were the only ones on the beach in our area. We seriously felt like we owned the joint.

The walks were wonderful and peaceful, I think I was able to read 3 books when I wasn't passed out in my chair, and every now and then on our morning walks we found creatures washed up on shore.

The last day we were there, a family next to us had caught this little fellow..

DUH NU DUH NU DUH NU..

They were actually going to have it for dinner that night. Personally, I have never had shark or heard of people eating shark.

We also enjoyed awesome food overlooking the ocean..

Isn't my Mom beautiful?

In my yoga days, I could do stuff like this!!!

(I really need to get back into hot yoga btw)

And this one below is one of my all time FAVORITE pictures.

It SCREAMS---

WHOOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!

I am at THE BEEAACCHHH!!!

This was such a WONDERFUL get-a-way and next year we ARE going back! So Mom you betta be savin' yo Ben's!!! ;-)

Here are some other shots that I got while we were there. (I am a serious camera picture snapping obsessive chick)

Sooo, if you are looking for a wonderful relaxing weekend you should definitely check this place out.

I can't find the link right now that takes you to their condo for info but I will get it to you as soon as my Mom gets it to me!

The condo is so warm and cozy and you can feel all the good times that have been had there.

The beach is definitely my home away from home. If Coach said to pack my bags we are moving there.. He would NOT have to tell me twice!!!
